This web app shows various pinball communities from around the world, along with player ratings and links to related communities. Also, it shows the past week's tournament results for each community.
This app is powered by data collected via the Matchplay.Events API. The app uses the Leiden community detection algorithm to divide the set of active players into communities, according to which players participate in the same tournaments together and how often they do so.
The Matchplay Glicko ratings displayed by this app are updated nightly. The community memberships are refreshed nightly as well in order to reflect new player connections or strengthened connections formed via the latest tournaments. Eventually, the reported results will be based on the most recent four months of data.
The displayed Glicko +/- rating changes reflect the difference between the player's current rating and what the rating was a week ago. Note that Matchplay takes two days to process the latest results. This means that current ratings represent reality as it was two days ago. The community pages show the date of the ratings update just above the first player name.
Stars indicate players that were not present in the previous day's data.
Here are various statistics about the dataset.
